There are many solutions for using a computer with a single hand, if you are busy doing something else in the meantime or you simply find it more comfortable. Camera Mouse takes this even further and enables you to use a computer with no hands at all. This interesting little utility tracks your face with a webcam and it moves the mouse cursor as you move your head. It lets you make various configurations, including automatic clicking. This way, if you want to do something on a computer, while your hands are busy doing something else, you can do it by simply looking at different parts of the screen.

Camera Mouse is offered completely free of charge, with no hidden fees or restrictions. Its setup package is small, so you can download it in just a few seconds. The installation process is just as fast and it doesn't involve any complicated settings. Apart from a working webcam, there are no special requirements you have to meet.

Setting everything up is quite easy. When launched, the application will immediately display your webcam's feed, at which point you have to simply click a point on your face which you want tracked. All that is left is to hit the CTRL or F9 key to start the camera control feature.

With the camera control on, you can just look around the screen and the mouse cursor will go to the place you are looking at. The default sensitivity is quite good, so you don't have to move your head too much, until you end up looking away from the screen. Additionally, you can make a wide range of tweaks in a tabbed settings menu.

The application can be set to click automatically when the cursor is stationary for a certain number of seconds. Furthermore, you can set it to switch to camera control if the cursor is not active for a certain amount of time. Of course, it is also possible to set a higher or lower sensitivity, depending on how much you want to tilt your head, but there are even more interesting settings to be made. For example, you can exclude certain areas of the screen, to avoid clicking on menus.

With Camera Mouse's simple, yet smart functionality, controlling the mouse and clicking can be done by simply looking at the screen.

Pros

You can move the mouse cursor by tilting your head. The software lets you change the sensitivity and make many other tweaks. You can even set it to click automatically.

Cons

Your webcam needs to be as stable as possible, since the slightest tremble can reduce the accuracy significantly.
